New Video Alert: Steam-Infused Hype and Footlong Nachos?!

This week: Wonder Oven vs Ninja Crispi, plus a cheesy taco showdown!

I hope you're having a great week so far! I've got a brand-new video up that puts the viral Wonder Oven from Our Place to the test. It claims to do everything from air frying to steam-infused baking, but can it actually live up to the hype? I ran it through several real-world tests (including a few comparisons with the Ninja Crispi) to find out.

Plus, there’s a new food review on Freakin’ 2, where I try Subway’s new footlong Doritos Nachos and compare a taco-flavored Cheez-It to an actual Taco Bell taco. Spoiler: one of them was kind of a letdown.

And if you're on the hunt for a deal, I’ve rounded up a few favorites below… all tested, used, and personally approved.

Let’s dive in!

NEW VIDEO ALERT 📽️
Wonder Oven Review!

Can the Wonder Oven hang with the Ninja Crispi?

My latest video is live, and this time I’m testing the Wonder Oven from Our Place. Yes, that’s the same folks behind the Always Pan.

This 6-in-1 countertop oven claims to bake, toast, broil, air fry, roast, and reheat... all with steam infusion to keep food crispy outside and moist inside. Sounds good, right? But does it actually deliver?

Here’s what I tested:

🍟 Frozen Fries Face-Off: Wonder Oven vs. Ninja Crispi. Which one nailed the crunch?

🍪 Cookie Bake-Off: No instructions included, so I had to wing it. Did they come out okay?

🍞 Toasting Test: I tried it both with and without steam. Is the "fluffy on the inside" toast hype legit?

🍕 Pizza Reheat Showdown: The Ninja Crispi usually crushes this… but not this time.

🥩 Steak & Potatoes: Can the Wonder Oven handle a full meal? Juicy or dry?

DEALS 🏷️
🫖Tiesta Tea Infuser: 16% Off

If you’re an avid tea drinker like I am, this one’s worth a look. I reviewed it for members last year, and I still use it several times a week. It’s a simple but clever design; you steep your tea, then place the infuser on top of your mug and it strains right into your cup from the bottom. Super convenient, and surprisingly durable. At 16% off, this is the lowest price I’ve seen in months.

📱 Ainope Phone Holder – 33% Off
One of the few products I’ve actually bought again as a gift after reviewing it. I really liked it, and at 33% off, it's under $10 right now, a great deal for a solid little gadget. (Watch me review this product in this video)

😴 3-Pack Sleep Masks – 44% Off
I tested these last year and still reach for mine now and then. At 44% off, the 3-pack comes out to just a couple bucks each. What I like most is that you can lie on your side without a strap clasp digging into your head, a big plus for us bald guys! Watch my review here to see it in action.

FREAKIN’ 2 😋
Subway’s Doritos Footlong Nachos!

Can I make Subway’s nachos look MORE like the advertising than they do?

Over on Freakin’ 2, a new video dropped this week where I take a closer look at Subway’s new footlong Doritos Nachos. Spoiler alert: what they advertise doesn’t quite resemble what you get in the box, so I set out to investigate and see if I could make a version that actually looks like the promo!

I also taste-tested the new Cheez-It Cheesy Taco flavor... and compared it to a real taco from Taco Bell. How do the two stack up? Let’s just say one of them surprised me.

📺 My Top 10 for April 2025 is live! This playlist highlights the most popular videos on Freakin’ Reviews right now. It’s mostly recent videos topping the charts this month, except the Ninja Slushi, which is determined to stick around for another month. Check out the full playlist to see if there’s a gem you missed, or a video worth rewatching!

SHORT SPOTLIGHT 🎥
Hand Shredder

In today’s Short Spotlight, we have the short version of my test of the so-called “Hand Shredder” which is not designed to shred hands, but is in fact a hand-operated paper shredder. While I thought it worked, I’m not sure the electric shredders have to worry about being replaced anytime soon.

That’s it for this newsletter!

As always, thanks so much for watching, reading, and supporting what I do, whether it's on YouTube, Facebook, the website, or right here in your inbox. If you end up trying any of the products I tested (or if you already have), I’d love to hear what you think.

Until next time,
James
