AliExpress Haul Under $3 (2021)

4 years ago today, I posted a haul of AliExpress finds under $3, and let’s just say it was an interesting batch of products. 🤯 From the bizarre to the borderline unsafe, this collection had it all!

While Temu may have stolen AliExpress' thunder in recent years, it’s still fun to rewind and see what kind of questionable (and occasionally useful) gems I managed to dig up back then.

Three Tips for Wiser Shopping

Check for Local Pickup Discounts: Some retailers offer discounts for in-store or curbside pickup, saving you on shipping fees. Even if the discount isn’t advertised, it’s often faster and more convenient than waiting for delivery.

Research Off-Brand Alternatives. Generic or lesser-known brands often provide similar quality at a fraction of the cost.

Beware of Artificially Inflated Discounts: Check the product’s price history before buying. Some retailers raise prices just before a sale to make discounts look larger than they are. I use a browser plugin called Keepa which shows actual historic prices on Amazon rather than “list” prices, which are often meaningless.
