Happy Fourth of July to my American friends out there! And happy weekend to those outside of the USA. My latest video just posted and it’s yet another interesting gadget for cooling your space, the Spin360, a fan that has been advertising relentlessly online lately! I also have a special F2 edition for July 4th. Let’s dive in!

NEW VIDEO ALERT 📽️
Spin360 Review

Are consumers ready for a new type of fan?

If you’re on social media, you’ve probably seen ads for the Spin360, a fan that blows in all directions at once. But this fan isn’t intended to be used in a way that most people use fans… which is already confusing. Despite the $227 price tag (when you include shipping), and a few glaring limitations vs normal fans, I actually found this have merit. Are consumers ready to drop two Benjamins on a fan that works differently than they might expect? That’s what I tried to find out in today’s video.

Every backyard needs a Hansø pergola. Here's why.

A Hansø pergola doesn't just look good. It changes how you use your backyard.

Shade on demand for the hours the sun hits hardest. Rain protection that keeps you outside longer. Privacy that makes your backyard feel like yours.

It's a dining room. An event space. A gym. A quiet corner. Whatever the day calls for.

Fully customizable to your space. And because it's engineered to last 30+ years - it's not an expense. It's an investment that adds real value to your property.

No showrooms. No middlemen. Delivered direct, installed fast.

Don't miss Hansø's 4th of July Sale: 30% off Pro+ and Horizon pergolas - plus a free Bluetooth speaker with every pergola order.

One structure. Every reason to spend more time outside

DEALS 🏷️
Collapsible Cart: 17% Off

With delivery becoming more common, I’ve noticed more people using collapsible carts and wagons for everything from bringing packages inside to hauling groceries from the car. This one is marked down by more than $20, has strong customer ratings, oversized wheels, and folds down to roughly backpack size when not in use. It looks especially handy for apartment dwellers, garage-to-house grocery runs, or anyone tired of making multiple trips.

Kids & Dogs Splashpad: 25% Off

This splashpad is a simple way to give kids or dogs a little outdoor fun while helping them cool off in the heat. It has an anti-slip surface and materials designed to hold up to paws, making it a nice option for backyard play, summer parties, or giving an energetic dog a reason to burn off some energy outside.

Ninja Crispi Pro: 17% Off

You probably know I enjoy Ninja products, and several of them are on sale this weekend at Amazon. The Crispi Pro is about $50 off its regular price right now. I just reviewed the newer Crispi DualZone, but the Crispi Pro may still be the better fit for some kitchens, especially for someone who wants the Crispi concept without needing the dual-zone setup.

Household Tip: Cool the Room, Not Just Yourself

When one room feels stuffy or has hot and cold spots, I try using a fan for circulation instead of pointing it straight at me. Placing a fan near a doorway and aiming it across the room can help mix the air from the rest of the house, especially when the AC is running.

It may not replace air conditioning, but it can make the room feel more even and comfortable without lowering the thermostat. Just keep cords out of walkways and avoid running them under rugs.

FREAKIN’ 2
July 4th Snack-O-Rama

Tasting Patriotic-Themed Snacks and Drinks!

Over on Freakin’ 2, I tried a bunch of patriotic snacks that all celebrate the red, white, and blue. From cookies to energy drinks to popcorn, I downed about every July 4th-themed snack I could find. I had a lot of fun with this one. Check out this video to help you gear up for the fireworks tonight!

ON THIS DATE 🗓️
Boce Coaster (2024)

Did you really think this would work?

Two years ago this week I tested out what ended up at the bottom of my “Worst of 2024” countdown, the Boce Coaster. This patented item supposedly transforms the taste of your drink in minutes, by simply placing your glass on it. I tasted no difference and even had a quantum physicist chime in on some of the technical claims.

SHORT SPOTLIGHT 🎥
Firework Water Gun

In today’s Short Spotlight, I look back to a product I tested last year with a Fourth of July theme, the Firework Water Gun. The product images online look dramatic. Heck, even my own images look dramatic. The kicker, however, is that the effect looks best in very specific lighting, and the spray only lasts about one second. The reality may not quite live up to the images, but it was still fun to test out.

That’s it for today. I hope those of you celebrating tonight have a Happy Fourth of July! Next week I’m hoping to film a beach gadget video down in California, so we’ll see how that goes.

Until next time,
James
