Secret Saturday: Early Access & New Vlog!
Get a first look at this week’s secret vlog and a past member-only video that goes live on Sunday.

I’ve been spending a little more time lately revisiting older projects, and it’s been fun to bring a few of them back to life. This week’s lineup includes a former member video going live on Sunday, a brand-new secret vlog for newsletter subscribers, a quick household tip, and some deals worth checking out.
NEW VIDEO ALERT 📽️
The Pyramid Lamp & The Trifocal Glasses
(Formerly a Member Video)
I’m bringing another former member-only video out of the vault this weekend! As you may know, I recently turned off my YouTube memberships, and I’ve started slowly releasing past member exclusives for everyone to enjoy.
In this one, I tested two unusual Temu finds, an optical-illusion “3D” lamp that looks great through a camera lens but not your actual eyes, and a pair of three-lens “trifocal” sunglasses that were apparently made famous by Prince.
The lamp promised a “magical visual experience,” but it turns out you pretty much have to cross your eyes to get it to work. And the glasses just seem to make no sense to me at all.
It’s a lighthearted throwback to when I first tried both products several months ago, so if you weren’t a member back then, you’ll get to see the full experience: weird lighting effects, head-scratching design choices, and all.
NEW VIDEO ALERT 📽️
Secret Vlog: Apologies to Everyone, Including Leo Sayer
I’m also back with a brand-new secret vlog that isn’t listed publicly anywhere on YouTube.
In this one, I start the day with no idea what my next video will be, talk about the future of my vlogs, share a few thoughts on YouTube criticism, and even dig up a few unused vlog ideas that never saw the light of day (including a fake “apology video” I almost made).
It’s a relaxed, behind-the-scenes look at the creative process, with equal parts rambling, reflection, and the occasional appearance by Bailey and Bolt.
DEALS 🏷️
1TB Samsung MicroSD Card: 42% Off

I’ve spent a small fortune on SD cards over the years, so seeing a brand-name 1TB Samsung card for around $70 definitely caught my eye. It’s a solid deal for anyone needing extra space, and perfect for cameras, phones, tablets, or portable consoles. It’s also getting solid reviews from Steam Deck and Nintendo Switch users, which says a lot about its reliability.
Spin Scrubber: 43% Off
We’re well past the days of the Hurricane Spin Scrubber and Turbo Scrub (two of my earliest reviews!), but modern versions are still thriving on Amazon. This particular model boasts 6,000+ ratings and the always-mysterious “Amazon’s Choice” badge. It typically runs between $40–$45, but it’s currently marked down to $34, which is not bad for something that makes cleaning a little less painful.
Fitbit Inspire 3: 20% Off
You’ve probably seen me wearing my gold-colored Fitbit Inspire 3 in some videos. I’ve bought one for myself and two more for family members, so I can vouch for it firsthand. I paid $100 for mine, so this current $20 savings makes it a great time to grab one if you’ve been thinking about tracking your steps, heart rate, or sleep.
Shower Tip
If you dread deep-cleaning the shower, here’s an unusual trick that keeps it from getting out of hand.
Keep a dish wand filled with half vinegar and half Dawn dish soap in or near the shower. Once or twice a week, while you’re already in there, give the walls and glass a quick scrub before you rinse off.
The warm water from your shower helps loosen soap scum, and the vinegar cuts through minerals and residue without harsh fumes. It takes about a minute, and will prevent or delay the need for deep scrubbing later.
Also, if you have hard water buildup on the shower head, fill a sandwich bag with vinegar, rubber-band it around the head, and leave it overnight. In the morning, remove and rinse. It will look brand new!
ON THIS DATE 🗓️
Restore 4 (2017)
I had to dig all the way back to 2017 to find the last time I posted a video on October 18, and it turned out to be a review of Restore 4, a multipurpose cleaner that claimed to tackle everything from grout to grill grates.
This one was from my early YouTube days, back when my production setup (and Bailey) both looked a lot younger. If nothing else, it’s worth watching just to see a very young Bailey make a cameo while I put Restore 4 to the test.
Don’t want to watch it? You can read my written version here.
That’s it for this week! If you missed it, don’t forget to check out the secret vlog. It will only be seen by a handful of people, including you! If you have ideas for future vlogs or products you’ve seen floating around that you’d like me to review, just hit reply and let me know.
Until next time,
James
