We don’t get much rain here in Vegas, but around August we do sometimes get these nice desert monsoon storms. This year I was ready with a couple of rain-related products to try out when the next storm arrived. Fortunately, I didn’t have to wait too long as we had a nice helping of rain and wind here in Vegas this week. I also have some fresh Amazon deals for you, so let’s dive in.

This umbrella is the #1 Best Seller on Amazon, with over 21,000 ratings. Usually it sells for $20-$30 but it’s currently at the lowest end of its range at $18. If you need an umbrella that’s inexpensive and can handle a good storm, this is a good place to start.

It’s hard to believe that it’s been three years since my test of the Icee Slushie Maker, which found a spot on my Worst of 2023 countdown. To be fair, it did work, but not without over a dozen steps, a half hour of ear-shattering noise, and a final result that left very little impression. If you never caught this one the first time around, it’s still worth a watch!
