New Video Alert: Pancake Gadgets!

Level up your pancakes, plus today's deals, and my latest Short and Vlog!

Today I’m back with a new video, an old favorite, and a few deals just for you.

In this week’s review, I test out three gadgets meant to level up your pancake game: a batter dispenser, a wide pancake spatula, and a double-sided pan from Gotham Steel. I’ve also got a throwback to 2019, plus my latest Short and vlog.

Let’s jump in.

NEW VIDEO ALERT 📽️
3 Pancake Gadgets!

Can these gadgets help you level-up your pancake game?

In today’s video, I tested three gadgets that supposedly improve your pancake-making experience: a pancake batter dispenser, a large pancake turner, and a double-sided Gotham Steel “pancake bonanza” pan (even though the packaging never actually calls it that). I tried all three at once for dispensing, flipping, and cooking. Two of them passed with flying colors. The third, however, was a bit iffy.

The spatula held its own like a champ. The dispenser was surprisingly solid and never leaked once. But that double-sided pan had mixed results, surprisingly working better on items other than pancakes.

DEALS 🏷️
Blink Floodlight Camera: 50% Off

This is an updated version of the Blink floodlight camera I use myself. This deal cuts the price in half, bringing it down to a very reasonable $50. If you already have a Blink system or you’ve been thinking about jumping into the home security camera world, this one’s worth a look.

Under Desk Foot Rest – 37% Off
This is one of those small upgrades that can quietly make a big difference over time. As someone who sits at a desk most of the day, I added one of these and noticed an improvement in back and leg comfort during long editing sessions. This model is also adjustable, which is something many cheaper versions don’t offer. At 37% off, it’s definitely worth considering.

Hamilton Beach Panini Press – 55% Off ($23)
Only the most hardcore longtime fans might remember this, but I reviewed this panini press way back in 2019 when I paid $42 for it. Seeing it marked down to $23 made it a no-brainer for this list. It’s definitely a niche gadget, but it works well and is priced to move.

Keeping Hard Floors Cleaner, Longer
Try placing a doormat outside and a washable rug just inside every entrance. Most dirt gets tracked in on shoes, so double-layering your entryways can cut down on mess dramatically. If you want to take it to an entirely different (and ridiculous) level, you could try wearing those microfiber mop slippers around the house for a little extra cleaning.

Gadgets That KINDA Work (2019)

Do we need gadgets that kinda work?

Looking back at the last time I posted a video on July 6 took me all the way back to 2019 when I posted this fun collection of gadgets that kinda worked. Three of the four items I never really used again, but one of them - the French fry holder - managed to get some occasional use. If you haven’t looked at much of my older content (and I can’t blame you), this is probably one of the better ones from that era.

A Pointless Question? (Vlog 35)

Pets and fireworks don’t mix.

After my June experiment of posting daily, I decided that weekly public vlogs are the way to go moving forward, and this week’s vlog (#35) delves into a variety of topics such as 4th of July as a pet owner, why I don’t like Air BNB anymore, and some behind the scenes footage for my latest review.

SHORT SPOTLIGHT 🎥
Ice Straws

In today’s Short Spotlight, we see a clip from a recent video in which I tested out a clever, yet simple, gadget that can produce a straw made entirely of ice. Although I did find that it worked flawlessly, the straw’s lifespan is on the clock the moment you remove it from the mold.

Check out the Short here if you enjoy that type of content. Or if you missed the full review recently, that can be found here.

Well that’s about it for today! If you missed it in my recent vlog, I’ll be out of town this week, so my posting schedule might be a little off for a few days. Everything should be back to normal the following week, however.

As always, thank you for subscribing to this newsletter and for being part of the Freakin’ Reviews family!

Until next time,
