New Video: This Slicer Claims It’ll “No Cut You”... Did It?
Plus: a fridge hack that actually works, a few solid summer deals, and why Nostradamus needs to calm down.

Welcome back everybody!
I hope your week is going well so far! I’ve got a few fun things to share today, starting with my latest review of a mandoline slicer with a name that doubles as a warning: the Dreamfarm Nocutu. It’s a compact little gadget that claims to solve the biggest gripe people have with mandolines: slicing to the very end without losing a fingertip or half your produce. I put it to the test, and even ran it against my Oxo slicer to see how it held up.
Also in this edition: a simple fridge hack to keep your condiments from disappearing into the abyss, a few solid deals, and a trip back in time to a slicer I reviewed on this date two years ago. Oh, and if you’ve ever felt like Nostradamus was a bit of a hack… you’re not alone. My latest vlog covers that rant and more. Let’s dive in.
NEW VIDEO ALERT 📽️
Dreamfarm Nocutu Mandoline Slicer
In today’s video, I tested out a kitchen gadget with one of the more clever names I’ve seen: Nocutu (as in "No Cut You"). It’s Dreamfarm’s latest take on the mandoline slicer, and it claims to solve the age-old problem of wasted ends and dangerous fingers thanks to a unique flexible finger guard. I put it head-to-head with my trusty Oxo slicer across five tests: apple, potato, cucumber, tomato, and even block cheese (because they showed that in the demo, so I had to).
It sliced well, had a bit of a learning curve with the guard, but actually lived up to some of its claims. The Oxo might have a slight edge in sharpness, but the Dreamfarm’s guard may be more usable if you stick with it. I wouldn't use either for cheese unless you're desperate, but for thin, uniform veggie slices, it held its own.
DEALS 🏷️
Portable Air Conditioner: 11% Off

This is the time of year when a portable AC unit becomes less of a luxury and more of a lifeline. If your central air ever goes out, these are worth their weight in gold. Today’s deal is a solid model from Black+Decker. Sure, 11% off doesn’t sound huge, but it knocks about $50 off the price, which is a pretty good chunk of change. This sale probably won’t stick around long.
Shark Fan – 20% Off
You might remember my review of this exact fan a few weeks back. Right now, it’s 20% off, which brings it down to about $200, compared to the $250 I paid. I’ve been happy with mine, and the misting function actually delivers. If you like to sit on the patio without melting into it, this might be a great addition to your outdoor setup.
Chicken Shredder – 50% Off
This one’s nearly identical to a model I reviewed a couple years back. It’s simple, effective, and a lot of users say they reach for it regularly. Right now, it’s just $15, legitimately half off from the typical $30-ish range. A good price for something that makes quick work of pulled chicken or pork.
The Fridge Lazy Susan
Try this hack if you find yourself with outdated jars in the back of your fridge.
Try adding a small Lazy Susan to one of your refrigerator shelves, especially the top shelf. It makes it easier to spin around and access condiments, dressings, or that one sauce you use twice a year but refuse to throw away. You can find fridge-sized versions online or even repurpose a small unit you already have.
Bonus tip: Group similar items together (like sauces on one, snacks on another) to keep things even more organized.
ON THIS DATE 🗓️
Another Slicer! (2023)
There must be something about June 19th that brings out the slicer in me, as I posted another slicer video on this date two years ago. This multi-slicer, however didn’t fare quite as well as today’s Dreamfarm offering. It was one of those kitchen tools that probably tried to take on too many tasks, as opposed to today’s Dreamfarm gadget which only has a single function. If today’s slicer video left you wanting more, this slicer video from 2 years ago today may just fit the bill.

Vlog 24 - Nostradamus & Misheard Lyrics
My latest public vlog was posted on June 18th. Vlog 24 covers my day’s events, which included a question that apparently offends some magicians, vanity license plates, and a brief rant about Nostradamus.
That’s it for this one. If you’ve used the Dreamfarm slicer (or have strong opinions about mandolines in general), I’d love to hear about it in the comments. And if you’ve ever used your fridge like a condiment graveyard, give the Lazy Susan hack a try!
Thanks for reading, and if you haven’t already, check out this week’s vlog where I share my thoughts on Nostradamus, kitchen gadgets, and the general absurdity of life. Until next time!
