New Video: Snail Spoons vs Beloved Cookies
Fun to try, but how practical are they?

I decided to sneak in a fun holiday-themed video in between my Best of 2025 and my Worst of 2025. Today’s video is part product review and part baking test, as I make a beloved family favorite Christmas cookie using bizarre snail-shaped measuring tools. I also have the usual fresh deals, two-year throwback, and a helpful baking tip.
Let’s dive in!
NEW VIDEO ALERT 📽️
Favorite Cookies vs Weird Measuring Tools!
For my latest video I decided to try something a little different. Instead of reviewing a couple of gadgets in my normal format, I put an unusual kitchen tool to the test by using it to make my favorite Christmas cookies. These are the cookies my grandma used to make for me when I was a kid, and I have made them so many times that I can tell instantly if something is off. That makes them the perfect accuracy test.
The stars of this video are the OTOTO Shelly Measuring Cups and Spoons. They are shaped like snails, with a cup on one end and a spoon on the other. They are cute, unusual, and a little awkward, so I was curious to see if they could actually handle a full baking session. Instead of doing a simple water or flour test, I used them for the entire recipe.
In the video I walk through the unboxing, do a quick accuracy test, and then jump into the full baking process. If these measurements were off even a little, the cookies would have told me right away. The results surprised me, and I think you will enjoy watching how everything came together.
If you want to see how these strange little snails performed in a real-world baking challenge, you can watch the full video here:

Tackle your credit card debt by paying 0% intro APR until 2027
Did you know some credit cards can actually help you get out of debt faster? Yes, it sounds crazy. But it’s true.
The secret: Find a card with a “0% intro APR" period for balance transfers or purchases. This could help you fund a large purchase or transfer your debt balance and pay it down as much as possible during the intro period. No interest means you could pay off the debt faster.
DEALS 🏷️
Translation Earbuds: 50% Off

Here is yet another example of a #1 Best Seller that is half off its normal price. These translator earbuds have impressive consumer ratings and can translate 164 languages in real time. It also includes an AI assistant for questions, tips, and more. Perhaps not surprisingly, you can also use them to listen to music. My trackers show this 50% off deal to be legit, meaning they usually sell for $200, so this could be a great time to jump on this one, especially if you or someone you know travels often.
Heated Blanket: 33% Off
Much of the US is being hit by a brutal arctic blast, and something like this electric blanket would certainly come in handy. It’s also a great gift idea for those in your life who need a little extra warmth.
PS5: 18% Off
A game console is one of the most coveted Christmas gifts every year and this PS5 model is currently marked down about $100 from its normal price. This price has been lower since Thanksgiving but it’s hard to say how much longer it will last.
The Secret to Measuring Sticky Ingredients Easily
If you ever bake with honey, molasses, peanut butter, or corn syrup, you probably know the struggle of trying to scrape every last bit out of the measuring cup. Here is a simple trick that makes it much easier!
Lightly coat your measuring spoon or cup with a thin layer of oil before adding the sticky ingredient. You can use cooking spray or just wipe the inside with a drop of neutral oil. The ingredient will slide out cleanly, and your measurements will be more accurate. It also makes cleanup faster because nothing clings to the surface.
