Plus a Star Shower flashback, candle hack, and fresh deals!

The weekend is here, and I’m back with my latest review. Today’s video features three very different gadgets: a heated hand muff, a “vomiting” chicken egg separator, and color-drip candles. Two of these have been around for years, and I’m glad I finally had the chance to try them out. I’ve also got my usual deals, flashback, and helpful tips… so let’s dive in!

NEW VIDEO ALERT 📽️
Testing Three Interesting Gadgets!

I’ve been wanting to try a couple of these for years… It’s time!

My latest review is online now, and this one is all over the place in the best way. I tested three very different products: a Halo rechargeable heated hand muff that might finally solve my freezing hand problem, a “vomiting chicken” egg separator that tries to be cute and useful at the same time, and classic color drip candles that turn an ordinary bottle into a wax-covered centerpiece.

This video is currently only viewable for newsletter subscribers, and will go live later today!

In the video I go through:

  • Halo Heated Hand Muff: Can a wearable hand warmer really keep my Raynaud’s hands comfortable outside, and how long does the battery actually last?

  • Vomiting Chicken Egg Separator: It looks hilarious when the whites pour out of the beak, but is it actually practical in the kitchen?

  • Color Drip Candles: I finally try the nostalgic drip candles I remember seeing as a kid and see if they still look as cool in real life as they do in the photos.

DEALS 🏷️
Govee Outdoor Lights: 39% Off

If you haven’t jumped on the outdoor light bandwagon yet, Govee may have an offer to help you climb aboard. These permanent outdoor lights are currently marked down 39% from the usual price of $330 to $200. They also have a more expensive model (currently the #1 Best Seller on Amazon) which is also marked down 39%.

Non-Skid Dog Bowls: 15% Off

If the flashy permanent lights above don’t do much for you, perhaps a practical set of non-skid dog bowls is more up your alley. These are currently under $12 and highly rated among over 36,000 reviews.

Dyson V8 Vacuum: 48% Off

Whether you’re in the market for a vacuum yourself, or know someone who could use one for Christmas, this Dyson V8 cordless vac should be on your short list. It’s usually $530 but currently marked down to $279, and the lowest my tracker has seen it in at least 3 months, if not longer.

Candle Hack: Freeze Your Candles for a Cleaner, Longer Burn
If you want your candles to burn more slowly and with less dripping, try popping them in the freezer for a couple of hours before lighting them. The colder wax melts at a slower, more even rate, which can help reduce tunneling, cut down on mess, and extend the overall burn time. It works especially well with taper and pillar candles. Just keep them wrapped or in a zip bag so they don’t absorb freezer smells.

ON THIS DATE 🗓️
Star Shower Ultra 9 (2022)

This is still advertising… but does it work?

It was 3 years ago this week that I posted my review of the Star Shower Ultra 9, which to date is still the most recent offering in that line. It’s still advertised pretty heavily this time of year and in fact my unit is sitting a few feet away as I prepare to set it up for the holiday season. It has held up well over the past three years, but if you want to see my initial review, check it out at the link below.

SHORT SPOTLIGHT 🎥
Robot Gift Ideas

Today’s Short Spotlight takes a look at three recent “robot” toys I’ve tested lately. Each of those are potentially a good gift idea when matched with the right person!

The short briefly shows the robot pencil sharpener, the robot artist, and the robot coin sorter.

Sure, they aren’t as high tech as a robot vacuum, but they’re probably a lot more fun!

Well, that’s a wrap for this newsletter. You’ve probably already noticed the surge of “Black Friday” deals popping up online and in stores. Whether they’re real deals is a whole other conversation! I hope you’re having a great weekend as we head into Thanksgiving week. I’ll be back with my next review in a few days, so we’ll touch base again then!

Until next time,
James
