March is here and we can now set our sights on St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, and the arrival of Spring. But before we get ahead of ourselves, I have some gadgets to check out first! I’m back online with my latest video testing out gadgets that promise to solve longtime problems. I’ve also got fresh Amazon deals, my latest F2 vlog, and more. Let’s dive in!
NEW VIDEO ALERT 📽️
Do These Gadgets Solve Everyday Problems?
In today’s video, I test three products that supposedly solve everyday annoyances: a peanut butter spreader that attaches to the lid of the jar, a multi-use kitchen gadget that holds pot lids and works as a trivet, and a glow bar that never needs batteries.
The big question is if any of these actually solve problems that haven’t already been solved?
One of them worked surprisingly well. One kind of worked… but felt more trouble than it was worth. And one was oddly satisfying even if it didn’t really replace anything.

Adventures led by women, designed to make a difference.
Peru, Bhutan and Cambodia. That’s where Intrepid, the world’s largest adventure travel company, has launched three new Women’s Expeditions.
These small-group trips are designed exclusively for women, creating space to connect, explore and support local women-led businesses along the way.
Trek the lesser-known Chinchero to Urquillos route in the Peruvian Andes with an all-female crew. Discover Cambodia’s street food scene on a women-run tuk tuk tour. Unwind with a traditional herbal hot stone bath at a women-owned farmhouse in Bhutan.
Every trip is led by an expert female guide and built around meaningful, immersive experiences.
DEALS 🏷️
Mattress Topper: 33% Off

I’ve revived mattresses that felt like planks by simply adding a decent mattress topper. This deal is for a popular topper (132k ratings!) that is at the low end of its typical price range. The savings varies by size, but most sizes are currently marked down.
Shark Corded Stick Vacuum: 37% Off
I’m a fan of Shark vacuums and this model is currently on sale from its usual price of around $300. It’s especially of interest to pet owners, as it features a no hair wrap feature, along with several attachments.
Monster Boomerang Speaker: 40% Off
You may recall my review of this speaker from mid-2025. It’s still something I use on occasion when I want to hear my surroundings but keep my music close by. I paid $100 for it, but it’s currently marked down to $60.
Household Tip: Revive Stale Chips in the Microwave
If you have a bag of chips that has gone limp, you may be able to bring them back to life in 30–60 seconds using your microwave.
Spread the chips out on a paper towel or plate and microwave them for about 30 seconds. If they still feel a little soft, give them another 10–15 seconds. The heat drives out the moisture that made them stale, which restores their crunch.
Let them cool for a minute before eating, as they will crisp up even more as they cool.
This trick works well with potato chips, tortilla chips, crackers, and cheese puffs.
It won’t save chips that are really old, but for those that just went soft overnight, it can make them edible again!
ON THIS DATE 🗓️
Dash Mini Donut Maker (2023)
Exactly three years ago today I tested out the Dash Mini Donut maker, a clever little appliance that created somewhat convincing donuts using cake mix and heat. Although it may not give Krispy Kreme a run for its money, it wasn’t completely without merit. If you never caught the original review, check it out at the link below.
FREAKIN’ 2
Vegemite Meets In N Out
My latest vlog over on Freakin’ 2 includes the usual stream of random thoughts, dog time, and my latest taste test: putting Vegemite on an In N Out burger. Admittedly, I’m a huge fan of both, but how well do they pair? Check out the video at the link below to find out.
SHORT SPOTLIGHT 🎥
Chip Fingers

Today’s Short Spotlight revisits a product I tested back in 2020, called “Chip Fingers.” These little finger covers were said to protect your fingers from chip residue. To me, they seemed like they were repurposed from something else. Not to mention… chip residue is half the fun!
Check out that short here if you haven’t seen my review for a while. If you want to really deep dive, you can watch the full video here.
Well that’s about it for this week. I hope you are all staying safe out there. I’ll be back next weekend with my next review and my next newsletter… and whatever else I can get up to over on F2!
Until next time,
James
