In today’s video, I tested two interesting kitchen tools designed to make fruit prep faster and easier. The first is the Dreamfarm Hullapit, which claims to effortlessly hull strawberries and pit cherries without the mess. I was skeptical, but this one won me over almost from the first use!

The second is the YZC Squeezer, a budget-friendly gadget that lets you juice lemons, limes, and even oranges right in your hand. It’s not the most heavy-duty tool, but it’s oddly satisfying to use and perfect for quick drinks or dressings.

Keep Produce Fresher, Longer!

If your berries tend to get mushy or moldy within days, try this quick trick. When you bring them home, give them a quick rinse in a mixture of 1 part white vinegar to 3 parts water. Let them soak for a minute, then rinse thoroughly with plain water and dry them completely. Store them in a paper towel-lined container with the lid slightly ajar.

It helps kill off mold spores and can extend their shelf life by several days, especially helpful if you’re using a gadget like the Hullapit to prep a bunch at once! And don’t worry about your friend tasting like vinegar, because it won’t!
