New Video: Chernobyl HUMIDIFIER?
Plus a humidifier hack, today's deals, and more!

I’m back with another new video! Today’s review includes a bizarre item that was suggested by my Discord regulars, who asked if I could try out the Chernobyl humidifier. That’s right - a humidifier replica of the nuclear power plant that exploded in the Soviet Union in 1986! To “balance” things out in true Cold War fashion, I decided to try out a USA map ice tray from Temu to see how that worked, too!
Today’s newsletter also has the usual deals, throwbacks, and tips, so let’s get started!
NEW VIDEO ALERT 📽️
Chernobyl Humidifier?!
This one’s a Cold War showdown you didn’t know you needed. I’m testing two gadgets that pit the USSR against the USA: the Chernobyl Humidifier (yes, that’s really what it’s called) and a USA Ice Cube Tray that creates ice cubes in the shape of most states. See if either of these novelty items actually work before the video goes public later today!

Do red cars cost more to insure?

You may have heard the myth that red cars cost more to insure, often with varying reasons why. The truth is, the color of your car has nothing to do with your premium. Insurance companies are more interested in your vehicle’s make, model, age, safety features, and your driving history. What’s not a myth, though — is that people really can save a ton of money by switching insurers. Check out Money’s car insurance tool to see if you could, too.
DEALS 🏷️
Ninja Foodi PossibleCooker Pro: 41% Off

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, this Ninja PossibleCooker Pro might be your new kitchen MVP. It works as a slow cooker, Dutch oven, and steamer all in one, complete with an integrated spoon and that reliable Ninja build quality. It usually sells for about $170, but right now it’s down to $100, which is a solid deal for a multi-use cooker.
MagTwins Hand Warmers: 10% Off
When I tested a lineup of hand warmers in early 2024, these were my top pick. They don’t just warm your palms, but they also heat your fingers evenly too, which made a big difference in my tests. The 10% off might not sound huge, but it’s the lowest price I’ve seen in months. If you want to see them in action, check out my hand warmer comparison here.
Electric Blanket: 21% Off
It’s that time of year when the temps drop and cozy comfort becomes a must. This popular electric blanket is a great way to take the chill off, with consistently high ratings and a dependable design. Normally $47, it’s marked down to $37, which is a nice savings on a winter staple.
Humidifier Hack
If you use a humidifier regularly, add a tablespoon of white vinegar to the water tank once a week before running it. It helps prevent mineral buildup and bacteria growth without leaving any noticeable scent, keeping your mist cleaner and your device running longer.

Gift Wrapping Gadgets (2023)
Exactly two years ago today, I posted my review of four gift wrapping gadgets: Little Elf, Wrap Buddies, a wrap cutter, and wrapping paper wraps! It was an interesting collection and a couple of these I still use to this day. Even though this video is two years old, these products are still sold and still relevant. If you missed it the first time around, check it out at the link below!

SHORT SPOTLIGHT 🎥
OXO Cookie Press
![]() | Back in May, I posted a review which included a test of the Oxo Cookie Press. Ahead of the holidays, I recently posted a Short edit of that review on my channel and it has gained some traction. If you never saw the full review, you can check that out here. |
We’re just three weeks from Thanksgiving and seven from Christmas, and it already feels like the entire world has gone full “Black Friday.” I’m starting to plan my Best and Worst of 2025 videos, which are only about a month away. It’s a sprint to 2026, and here’s hoping we can all pause to enjoy the ride along the way.
Until next time,
James
