New Video: Candle Powered Mug?!

Plus two oddball Temu gadgets and fresh Amazon deals.

Welcome back, everybody! I’ve got a new video today featuring a quirky fondue mug powered by a tealight candle, plus two bonus gadgets from Temu that you’ll want to see. I’ve also rounded up some fresh Amazon deals and a quick household tip to make life easier.

Let’s get into it!

NEW VIDEO ALERT 📽️
Fondue Mug + Two Weird Temu Gadgets!

Can a mug with a tealight candle actually cook?

Today’s video features three curious finds, one of which might just “sweeten” your day. First up, I put a fondue mug to the test: a little ceramic cup that uses a tealight candle like a mini stovetop. I tried it with chocolate and cheese with some unexpected results.

But that’s not all!

  • I also tried out a USB skull nightlight that projects a convincing skull pattern onto your wall or ceiling.

  • And finally, a triangular ice tray from Temu that’s either a clever twist or a frozen headache (depending on how patient you are).

DEALS 🏷️
Hot Dog Toaster: 27% Off

Five years ago I tested a batch of hot dog gadgets, including an older model of this Nostalgia hot dog toaster. At the time, I thought it was more novelty than necessity, but it’s built a loyal fan base. If you’re a hot dog enthusiast, this is the lowest price I’ve seen in months.

Drink Dispensers: 10% Off (Actually More!)
This stylish set is listed at 10% off $69.99, but my trackers show the regular price is usually $79.99. So the real discount is even better. Now you can bring that “hotel lobby” vibe into your own kitchen.

Mosquito Repeller: 21% Off
The mosquitoes here in Vegas have been relentless in 2025, and I’ve tried just about every gadget out there. This repeller is one of the few that helps, creating a protective barrier so you can enjoy evenings outdoors without being eaten alive.

Clean Your Microwave with a Mug?
If you have a dirty microwave, here’s an easy fix using a standard mug:

  1. Fill a microwave-safe mug halfway with water.

  2. Add a few slices of lemon (or 2 tablespoons of vinegar).

  3. Microwave on high for 2–3 minutes until it steams.

  4. Let it sit for another minute, then carefully remove the mug.

  5. Wipe the inside of the microwave with a cloth. The steam loosens all the gunk, which can be easily wiped away.

Magic Broom (2021)

I’m not sure how magical this “broom” really was.

Exactly four years ago today I tested out the so-called “Magic Broom” that was circulating on social media at the time. It is essentially an oversized squeegee that was marketed for things like sweeping or cleaning windows. I put it to the test and found that the model I received hardly lived up the advertising hype. Check out the link below to watch the full video.

SHORT SPOTLIGHT 🎥
Spiral Light Candle

In today’s Short Spotlight, we’re taking a look at the short edit of my review of the Spiral Light Candle. This unique candle has a hollow center so that your first candle melts into the bottom to form a second candle.

It’s certainly a unique design, but not without a few flaws. Check out the Short here, or watch the full video if you want to dive deeper.

That’s all for today! I hope you enjoyed the video, the deals, and the little hack. If you’ve tried any of these products yourself (or if you have a better fondue setup than a candle-powered mug!), I’d love to hear your thoughts. Thanks as always for reading and watching, and I’ll see you next time!
