New Video: As Seen on TV vs Amazon Waist Fans
I tested an As Seen on TV wearable fan and an Amazon best seller to find out if either actually work.

It’s officially hot enough here in Vegas that I’m testing wearable fans now. This week I took a look at the Arctic Air Breeze Jet, an As Seen on TV gadget that claims to keep you cool on the go. Naturally, I couldn’t resist comparing it to a similar Amazon best seller with a name that sounds like someone sneezed while typing: HEELKL.
Also in today’s edition, Freakin’ 2 put out a new video, we revisit a year-old product I’m still shaking my head at, and a few solid Amazon deals worth checking out. Let’s dive in.
NEW VIDEO ALERT 📽️
Arctic Air Breeze Jet vs Amazon Best-Seller
This week I tested the Arctic Air Breeze Jet, an As Seen on TV wearable fan that promises instant cooling wherever you go. It clips onto your waistband and supposedly blows 13mph air across your body to keep you cool in the summer heat. I decided to grab a top-selling Amazon alternative too (with the extremely unfortunate name HEELKL) and test them head-to-head.
They’re nearly identical in size, price, and performance, but not in branding or marketing claims. Arctic Air’s commercial makes some bold statements (like a 30-degree body temperature drop… really?), so I brought out my trusty thermal imager to test them both in a controlled environment and in the brutal Vegas heat.
I found this to be an interesting comparison, but if you’re expecting arctic-level cooling from a simple fan, you may want to lower your expectations a notch.
DEALS 🏷️
Ninja Frost Vault: 24% Off

This is one of the few Ninja products I’ve bought but never officially reviewed (though I do own last year’s model). The biggest complaint about the original was the lack of wheels, and this year’s version fixed that. Now it rolls, it chills, and it’s currently priced to sell. If you’ve got summer outings planned, this might be worth a look.
🎮 Fire TV Stick – 49% Off
This is marked down to about $18, which is the cheapest I’ve seen it in months. This is the newest model with Alexa built in, so if you're deep in the Alexa ecosystem, now’s a good time to snag one.
💾 Samsung 4TB M.2 SSD – 28% Off
Storage is always a battle for me with the amount of video I shoot. I already own several of these drives and I paid more than today’s sale price. If you’re looking for high-speed storage in a compact form, this is a great deal.
Sink Refresh
Here’s a quick way to freshen up your kitchen sink.
Sprinkle baking soda all over the wet sink surface, especially around the drain and edges.
Add a few drops of dish soap and scrub with a damp sponge or brush.
Pour a little white vinegar down the drain afterward for extra deodorizing.
Rinse with hot water and wipe dry with a microfiber cloth.

Boce Coaster (2023)
Exactly one year ago today, I posted my review of what would eventually land at the bottom of my Worst of 2024 list: the infamous Boce Coaster. This product boldly claimed it could improve the taste of drinks somehow. Naturally, I put that to the test, and I also received some valuable input from a physicist from my Discord. The results? Let’s just say the only thing that changed was my opinion of coaster marketing. If you missed it last summer, now’s the perfect time to revisit one of the most bizarre product claims I’ve tested.
Don’t want to watch it? You can read my written version here.
NEW FREAKIN’ 2
Bizarre Snack Trio!
My latest Freakin’ 2 video is a snack-fest: Cap’n Crunch Orange Creampop, Cup Noodles Dill Pickle, and Selena Gomez Oreos. I gave each one a taste test and then attempted to recreate them with ingredients I had on hand, which somehow made two of them better than the originals. It’s always a little chaotic over on F2, but that’s part of the fun.
📺 My Top 10 for July 2025 is live! This playlist highlights the most popular videos on Freakin’ Reviews right now. My recent test of a mandoline slicer by Dreamfarm currently tops the list, followed closely by a few drink gadgets I tried out. Check out the full playlist to see if there’s anything you missed, or if you find a video worth rewatching!
SHORT SPOTLIGHT 🎥
Watermelon Knife
![]() | In this week’s Short Spotlight, I focus on a massive watermelon knife that I originally tested out back in May. Not only is the design clever and cute, but the knife itself performed far better than I expected. Check out the Short here, or if you want to see the long version, that’s here. |
If you end up grabbing one of those wearable fans, snack combos, or even the Fire Stick, let me know how it works out. And if you happen to find a coaster that actually improves the taste of drinks, please contact me immediately, because that would be impressive!
I’ll let you know when my next video comes out, which should be a collection of pancake gadgets this Sunday.
Until then,
James
