New Video Alert: Baking Gadgets!
Also: Bread bowls, Captain Kirk, reusable water balloons, and my trash shame!

I hope you’re having a great weekend! I’ve got a new review for you featuring two baking gadgets that promise to upgrade your kitchen game, and one of them involves stabbing a potato, so you know we’re getting serious here.
You’ll also find my latest vlog, where I delve into everything from accidentally offensive phrases to Captain Kirk’s space dating history. Plus, I’ve got a handy household hack, a nostalgic flashback to some oddly satisfying kitchen gadgets from two years ago, and a few deals that actually seem worth grabbing.
Let’s get into it…
NEW VIDEO ALERT 📽️
Testing Baking Gadgets!
In today’s video, I put two curious baking gadgets to the test: baked potato nails and a bowl-shaped muffin pan that promises to make edible bread bowls. Do either of these actually work, and are they worth the money? One delivered modest improvements, and the other left a “surprise” in my dishwasher. It’s a nice mix of spuds, beer bread, and a minor cleanup mystery. 🍽️

Nuwave Bravo XL Oven: 30% Off

I’m a big fan of countertop ovens, especially in the summer when I’d rather not heat up the house. This XL model usually runs about $240, but right now it’s down to $168. If you’ve ever felt like most countertop ovens are just too small, this one actually has some real space to work with. Great for 1–2 people, quick meals, or avoiding a full oven preheat.
🔸 Reusable Water Balloons – 17% Off
Perfect for summer fun without the landfill guilt. These magnetic-seal "balloons" refill in seconds, don’t leave balloon bits everywhere, and never run out. If your kids (or let’s be honest, you) love a backyard water fight, this is a clean and clever upgrade.
🔸 Cat Scratch Deterrent Tape – 17% Off
A bit niche, but I have first-hand experience with these. If your feline friend treats your beloved couch like a scratching post, this stuff really works. It doesn’t leave sticky residue and blends in better than you'd expect. Currently it’s the lowest price I’ve seen in months, so it’s a good time to stock up, especially if your cat has expensive taste in furniture.
Revive Your Carpet with This Pantry Staple
If you have a mystery carpet stain or funky rug odor, give this a shot.
Mix 1 part white vinegar with 2 parts water in a spray bottle. Lightly spray the area, then blot with a clean cloth. For tougher odors (such as pet smells), sprinkle baking soda first, let it sit for 15 minutes, then spray with the vinegar mix. It will fizz up, then dry up, and then you can vacuum it up.
It’s a budget-friendly and chemical-free solution. Just be sure to spot test first because beige carpet is not the desired result.

3 Ridiculously Simple Kitchen Gadgets (2023)
Exactly two years ago today, I tested out three ridiculously simple kitchen gadgets to see if they were clever or just clutter. First up: the Pan Buddy, which claims to make hot pan handles easier to grip. Then there was Flower Power, a spinning flower that sits atop your pot and releases steam. And finally, the Zip Quicker, a tool that acts like an extra set of hands when filling those frustrating zipper bags.
Does simple mean useful? Or just… simple?

About That $3 Million NFT…
In my June 27 vlog, I take a stroll through a surprisingly packed lineup: how innocent phrases gradually become taboo, why I tend to avoid bandwagons, a moment of neighborhood trash-related embarrassment, and even a look at Captain Kirk’s impressive romantic resume. It’s 8 minutes of commentary, curiosity, and confessions.
That’s it for now! My commitment to vlogging throughout June is almost over, and I will soon be deciding (and posting a poll) about whether or not I will continue that throughout July, so be on the lookout for that poll soon. Regardless of my vlogging schedule, products reviews aren’t going anywhere!
Until next time,
James
