New Video: Ironing with a Human-Shaped Balloon?

Aironox review, plus fresh deals and a Halloween flashback.

In partnership with

In today’s video, I tested one of the strangest gadgets I’ve tried in a while: a machine that dries and irons your clothes with hot air on a human-shaped balloon! You hang up your shirt or pants, hit start, and it inflates like a parade balloon. It’s called the Aironox, and it promises to make ironing a thing of the past… but does it really? The results were surprising and confusing at the same time.

I’ve also got a festive Flashback from six years ago (starring my kids, Bailey, and some Wish-style Halloween chaos), a new Short Spotlight on a vertical waffle maker, and a few seasonal deals worth checking out, including a lion costume for your dog that’s guaranteed to make October 31st even better.

Let’s get to it!

NEW VIDEO ALERT 📽️
Aironox: The $160 Ironing Balloon Machine!

Is this the future of ironing?

Ever wish you could skip ironing altogether? The gadget I tested this week claims to do exactly that. It’s called the Aironox, and it supposedly dries and irons your clothes using nothing but hot air. You hang up your shirt, hit start, and watch it inflate like a human-shaped balloon while it “irons” itself.

Sounds futuristic, right? Well I’d say it’s partly the future and partly hot air. The design is clever, but the instructions are rough, and the results were mixed. Some shirts came out smooth and dry, but not all. Still, it’s one of the strangest and most entertaining gadgets I’ve reviewed in a while, and you’ve got to see the thermal camera footage to believe it.

Myth: Pet insurance doesn’t cover everything

Many pet owners worry that insurance won’t cover everything, especially routine care or pre-existing conditions. While that’s true in many cases, most insurers now offer wellness add-ons for preventive care like vaccines, dental cleanings, and check-ups, giving you more complete coverage. View Money’s pet insurance list to find plans for as low as $10 a month.

DEALS 🏷️
Halloween Dog Lion Costume: 10% Off

I bought a similar costume for Bailey years ago (you can spot it in the Wish Halloween flashback below), and it was a hit! If you’re not quite feeling festive yet, seeing your dog trot around as a lion should fix that. It’s under $10 and worth it even for a short wearing session.

🎧 Noise-Canceling Earbuds: 30% Off
If you love the idea of noise-canceling earbuds but don’t love AirPods prices, this is your deal. This pair has nearly 30,000 ratings, plenty of features, and currently goes for just under $30.

🔥 Flickering Outdoor Flame Lights: 37% Off
These solar-powered flicker flame lights make a great addition to your yard, and are perfect for Halloween, but stylish enough to leave up all year. My tracker shows the 6-pack usually sells for $55–$59, so the current price of $44 is a solid buy.

Steam Ironing Hack
If you have a wrinkled shirt and a hot shower, you can hang your shirt in the bathroom while you shower, making sure it’s out of direct water contact. The steam from the shower loosens wrinkles. It won’t look freshly ironed, but it’s good enough for a quick outing, and probably on par with some of the results I achieved with the Aironox.

Wish Halloween (2019)

A WISH for a WITCH, but which one?

Exactly six years ago today, I enlisted my kids and Bailey to help me test out a batch of Halloween items from Wish. Remember Wish? It’s still around, although Temu has definitely stolen its thunder. This was a fun one to make, and it’s still festive enough to revisit if you’re looking to get into the Halloween spirit.

📺 My Top 10 for October 2025 has been updated! Perhaps not unexpectedly, the top two spots are dominated by cheap and weird gadgets. And once again, the Ninja Crispi hangs on to the #10 spot, refusing to drop out of the Top 10 yet again! Check out the full playlist to see if there’s a gem you missed, or a video worth rewatching!

SHORT SPOTLIGHT 🎥
Vertical Waffle Maker

In today’s Short Spotlight, my vertical waffle maker review is now available… in vertical format, naturally! If you prefer quick, bite-sized reviews, you can check out this condensed version of my full Ninja Vertical Waffle Maker video, or watch the full review here.

As a quick follow-up, I’ve actually gone back to using my Breville toaster (review here), rather than having a dedicated waffle maker on my counter. I liked the Ninja, but I only make so many Belgian waffles. The Breville wins points for also handling muffins and toast.

That wraps up today’s roundup! From hot-air ironing experiments to dog-lion costumes, it’s been a pretty typical week here in the world of Freakin’ Reviews. If you haven’t seen the Aironox review yet, give it a watch and see what you think! Are the results good enough to warrant a $160 price tag?

I would also like to remind you (in case you missed it in my last newsletter) that I recently posted an unlisted vlog, only viewable to those who have the link. You can view that vlog here.

Until next time,
