It’s Wednesday, which means it’s time for another set of Amazon recommendations pulled from the 2,000 or so gadgets I’ve reviewed over the past decade. Today I’m highlighting three items I never expected to keep using, but somehow still do. All three date back to 2019 and 2020, so they’ve held up for six or seven years now. Let’s dive in!
Star Trek Pizza Cutter - 2019
When I tested out a collection of pizza cutters back in 2019, the Star Trek model was added almost for the novelty, but it’s actually the one I still use to this day. Maybe it’s not the most ergonomic model out there, but the cool factor has never faded, and it still raises eyebrows whenever I pull it out. The best part is that it’s held up like a champ. I’ve had no issues with its durability after 7 years, so it ended up being a solid investment. The price fluctuates at lot on this one!

Six mature-friendly shades. One mascara that actually stays put.
Most mascaras promise length… then leave you with smudges, flakes, and clumps by lunchtime.
That’s why so many 50+ women are switching to PrimeLash.
It’s a tubing mascara designed for your lashes, wrapping each one to lift, define, and separate...even the ones that might be too small to see.
And when it’s time to take PrimeLash off? It slides right off with warm water. No rubbing or irritation.
From everyday black to soft brown, plus bold shades like Emerald, Burgundy, and Mulberry… there’s a color for every kind of day.
Get longer-looking lashes with zero smudge. Finally.
Rotato Express - 2019
When I compared a collection of potato peelers back in 2019, the Rotato Express felt more like a novelty gadget, and in some ways it probably is. Fast forward 7 years later and I still pull it out when I have to peel a large batch of potatoes. It may feel like a novelty gadget, but it’s still surprisingly effective. I don’t typically bother if I only need a couple potatoes peeled, but for large batches it saves time and adds a bit of fun to food prep.

Spin Power - 2020
When I tested three As Seen on TV “tech” gadgets in 2020, I had little hope that any of them would last beyond my initial review. 6 years later, Spin Power still operates in my home office, powering numerous electronic devices at once. I can’t stay I use all of its functions, such as a phone holder or even the spinning function, but the unit itself has held up far longer than I ever anticipated.
Relevant Info:
Most items I test don’t stick around long. They’re usually given away, donated, or tossed into the Boneyard once the review is done. But every now and then, something proves itself. These three are especially surprising, because I didn’t expect much from them in the first place.
Until next time…
James
