The weekend is here and I’m back with my latest review. This week I tried out some highly specific kitchen gadgets to see if they were worth the investment. Earlier this week I also posted a new Freakin’ 2 food vlog, which you can find below. I’ve also got fresh Amazon deals and a flashback to 5 years ago today.
Let’s dive in.
NEW VIDEO ALERT 📽️
3 VERY Specific Kitchen Gadgets!
I just posted a new review where I tested three highly specific kitchen gadgets to see if they’re worth the time, money, and effort.
This video includes:
A skillet designed for exactly one slice of pizza
A tool that crimps and seals tortillas
A gadget that slices crisscross patterns into hot dogs
The big question is the same for each of these gadgets: do they actually work, or are they just clever ideas that you’ll use once and forget about?
Some of these surprised me more than I expected, especially once I started experimenting a bit beyond the basic instructions.

Better results don't always require more supplements.
Most supplement routines are built on guesswork.
SuppCo fixes that. They help you audit product quality, optimize your budget, and track the exact nutrient density of your stack. You take the right dosages from trusted sources. Nothing more, nothing less.
Plus, their core features are free. Not a trial. Just free.
Download the SuppCo app to see what you're actually taking. Then start building a routine that makes sense for your body and your budget.
Your workouts aren't random. Your supplements shouldn't be either.
DEALS 🏷️
Solar Butterflies: 50% Off

You may recall my review of these solar butterflies earlier this year. They often appear in the background when I conclude my vlogs on Freakin’ 2, and so far they’ve held up well. They are currently on sale for about half off, which puts them in a much more palatable price range than I paid! If you were considering them, this is your chance to grab them at a decent price.
Ear Camera: 32% Off
I may have to explain this one… I’ve often said that I’ll never review ear wax products because they are too gross for video. I do, however, know someone who owns this and swears by it. I’ve seen it in action, and under $14 seems like a great price.
Dash Egg Cooker: 15% Off
One of the appealing features of Dash products is their compact size. This compact egg cooker makes 7 eggs with a tiny footprint. It’s the cheapest I’ve seen it in months.
Household Tip: Leftover Pizza in Any Pan
Grab a slice of leftover pizza (who has leftover pizza?) and heat it in a pan on the stove over medium heat for a couple of minutes. Once the bottom starts to crisp up, add a few drops of water to the pan (not on the pizza) and cover it with a lid for about a minute.
The steam melts the cheese while the crust stays crispy, so it tastes surprisingly close to fresh.
If that sounds familiar, it’s the same idea as the one-slice pizza skillet in today’s video… just without needing a dedicated gadget!
FREAKIN’ 2
Snack Overload!
Over on Freakin’ 2, I posted my latest vlog earlier this week in which I did three taste tests in one day. The items included a “flavor swap” bag of Ruffles, some new Harry Potter “Butterbeer” snacks, and a cocktail kit from Amazon. There’s also the usual talk about Vegas heat, dogs, and random musings.

Stretch & Fresh (2021)
Five years ago today I posted my review of the As Seen on TV containers called Stretch & Fresh. They were regular containers with stretchy lids, allowing you to fill them with oversized items. The idea was certainly clever, but how did they hold up?
I used these for a few years, but can’t say I ever took advantage of the stretching feature, so in my case they ended up being more of a gimmick than useful product.
SHORT SPOTLIGHT 🎥
Snap Glasses

In today’s Short Spotlight, we revisit the snap sunglasses that were a part of my “Dumb Products” video from March of 2021. Although the full review is 5 years old, the short was just posted to my channel where it’s getting a bit of traction. If you want a refresher on that silly product, check out the short.
If you missed the original video, you may be interested in that here.
That’s it for this week. I hope you enjoy watching my latest video as much as I enjoyed making it. I’ll be vlogging for my next Freakin’ 2 video on Saturday, so hopefully I can find some new food items to try out there as well. For those of you dealing with extreme weather, I hope you’re staying safe! And for those of you flying this week, I hope the lines aren’t too brutal!
Until next time,
James
