December is here and I’m back with my latest video. Today I’m testing out a mixed bag of gadgets from Amazon and Temu to see how they really work. Butterflies, Earmuffs, and Brown Sugar all come together for today’s 17-minute review.

I Didn’t Know I Needed These Gadgets!

In my latest review I’m testing another strange-yet-interesting trio of gadgets: Bluetooth earmuffs that play music and handle phone calls, terracotta discs that promise to rescue rock-hard brown sugar, and rubber band powered butterflies that fly out of greeting cards. One of them turned out to be way better than I expected, one was useful but quirky, and one was more of a quick novelty than a must have. Brown Sugar Hacks!
If you want to keep brown sugar soft without using a terracotta saver, toss a couple of large marshmallows into the container and seal it tight. Marshmallows slowly release moisture, keeping the sugar soft for days at a time. It works shockingly well as a short-term fix, especially if your sugar is just starting to dry out.

If the sugar is already rock hard, microwave a small portion with a damp paper towel for 10–15 seconds to restore it quickly, then keep marshmallows in the container going forward to help maintain the texture.

Viral Temu Gadgets (2024)

Exactly one year ago today, I posted a video in which I tested a variety of Temu gadgets that I saw going around online at the time. The products included an egg topper, floss dispenser, ice tray, juicer, and peanut sheller. As expected, not everything lived up to the advertising hype.
